How much donation was collected for Ram mandir: Now only a few days are left for the consecration of Lord Ramlala in the Ram temple under construction in Ayodhya.
Ram devotees from India and abroad have donated generously to the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram. When the foundation for the construction of Ram temple was laid in Ayodhya, no one was sure that the devotees of Ram would donate so much that the first floor of the temple would be completed with the interest money alone.
There are many devotees of Ram who donate to the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Till now Ram Temple has received donations worth more than Rs 5000 crore. According to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trask, so far Rs 3200 crore has come into the dedication fund account of the temple.
It is worth noting here that Ram Mandir Trust had set a target of raising Rs 900 crore from 11 crore people of the country. But till December, donations worth more than Rs 5 thousand crores have been received for Lord Ram’s temple.
Around 18 million Ram devotees have placed dedication donations of approximately Rs 3,200 crore in the accounts of National Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, and Bank of Baroda for the construction of Ram temples, according to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. With the interest earned from the FD of the donated funds in these bank accounts, the Trust was able to build the temple in its current configuration.
Who donated the most? According to the information given on the website of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, spiritual guru and storyteller Morari Bapu has donated the most so far for the grand Ram temple being built in Ayodhya. Morari Bapu has donated Rs 11.3 crore for Ram temple. Additionally, his followers based in the US.
Canada and the United Kingdom have collectively donated Rs 8 crore separately. At the same time, Gujarat’s diamond businessman Govindbhai Dholakia has donated Rs 11 crore for the construction of Ram temple.
