Dolly Parton’s Birthday: most recent album, “Rockstar,” now comes in a deluxe edition with additional bonus tracks.

In honor of her 78th birthday, country music icon and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dolly Parton has released a deluxe digital version of her most recent album, Rockstar, which features nine more songs and covers.
Parton wrote on social media, “Since it’s my birthday, I’m going to give you a present!,.“The Rockstar album, four previously unheard tracks, plus a few additional songs you might have heard but weren’t on the record are all being released on my birthday.I hope you everyone have a fantastic birthday for me and that you enjoy it! .”
In addition to the original 30-song LP, Rockstar Deluxe features nine additional tracks, four of which have not been released before and five of which were selected from the various “exclusive retailer” tracks.
Covers of Billy Joel’s “The Entertainer,” Pat Benatar’s “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” Eddie Money’s “Two Tickets to Paradise,” Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),” and Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water” are among the deluxe songs. The updated versions of Parton’s original songs include a live rendition of “Rockin’ It,” “Mama Never Said,” “Stay Out of My Bedroom,” a cover of Rhinestone’s “Jolene,” and a version of her famous song “Jolene” starring Måneskin.
The greatest chart performance of Parton’s illustrious career came in November with her album Rockstar, which featured a guest list that included members of Judas Priest’s Rob Halford, Debbie Harry, Brandi Carlile, Lizzo, Michael McDonald, Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris, and many others. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, Chris Stapleton, Stevie Nicks, Sting, Elton John, Kid Rock, Simon Le Bon, John Fogerty, and the late Ronnie Van Zant and other Lynyrd Skynyrd members were among the guests.
“It is an immense pleasure to be able to perform all of the well-known songs on the album.
